To do this, we spend time with the key members of the team, and we use our Business Check List to identify all aspects of your company’s operations, systems, control, and processes.
Following our initial review, we establish the right support team. It may be that you need only a Finance Director to work with your existing resource; you may need us to help construct an internal finance team, or you may require us to provide a fully outsourced finance function to complement our FD resource. Critically, we ensure it is the right mix of characters, personalities and skill sets. The same team then works with you, as we understand the importance of creating a close working relationship.
We then help to construct a plan that delivers what you want at the time you want it.
If a Finance Director resource is required we will establish how we interact with the Company Board, shareholders and investors. Equally as important, we put in place the appropriate ways of working with the existing finance function.
If there is a requirement for a wider finance function then this may either be in-house or outsourced. We can work with businesses to plan the in-house team appropriately and manage the recruitment of the right people for this team. If we provide the outsourced services then we will make sure our team take on existing process, build a timetable of reporting and ensure effective communication.
The Finance Director that works with you will be available in the manner that is most appropriate for you. We will spend enough time in the business to become an integral part of the operations, a recognised lead for the in-house team and for key advisers. We will always be available by email and telephone.
In using our outsourced team we will put in place the Avonglen Portal. Through this we will ensure that any issues faced by the business are answered quickly. Additionally, this allows us to manage the reporting requirements so that an organisation meets statutory obligations, investor timetables and fundamentally makes the right decisions at the right time.
